My Own Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle

So you want to see how I finally solved today’s NY Times Wordle? Here’s a video representation of my thought process.

All right then. As usual, according to my very recent self-imposed rule, I opened up with a totally new word today which was, FAINT. Wasn’t surprised when it came back with not even a single green or yellow block.

So in that sense, today’s Wordle was exactly the same as yesterday’s Wordle #617 as in the last day’s Wordle, my first attempt was all black blocks and not a single one colored.

Anyway, looking at the result, I tried another word, GROPE as it had none of the letters used in the first attempt but did have E, one of the most used English letter and a vowel.

GROPE almost solved today’s mystery for me by giving me E in the green block at 5th spot while R and O in yellow blocks on 2nd and 3rd spots respectively.

Using this information, for the third attempt, I tested, HORDE and as expected, it turned my 2nd and 3rd spots into green as well. So now, I only need to figure out 2 more letters and looking at the arrangement of the letters, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out what the correct word was.

For my 4th attempt, keeping in view all the relevant information that I had amassed from the previous three attempts, I went for WORSE and not surprisingly, at all, this turned out the Wordle of The Day and that’s how I solved the Wordle Today.
