My Own Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle

So you want to see how I finally solved today’s NY Times Wordle? Here’s a video representation of my thought process.

1st Word – BREAD

Since the correct word for yesterday’s Wordle 649 was BREAD, this is the 5-letter word that I used today to start off my NY Times Wordle adventure.

As it has two popular vowels, I was expecting a good return from this word and as a matter of fact, it didn’t disappoint me at all.

BREAD gave me a green block right in the middle, i.e. the 3rd spot with the letter E in it. Additionally, it also gave me a yellow block on the 2nd position with the letter R in it.

2nd Word – FIERY

With R in the yellow block, I first planned to start my second word with this letter but eventually decided against it as I couldn’t come up with any. So I shifted it to the fourth spot by using FIERY as my second word.

The decision proved to be a great one as now, I had two additional green blocks on the 4th and 5th positions with the letters R and Y in them.

3rd Word – QUERY

As you may notice, I’ve landed myself with a rhyming word. There are a bunch of candidates that have R and Y in the end, however, I kept my focus on the letters already used and come up with the ones that didn’t have those letters.

So for my third attempt, I tried my luck with QUERY. It didn’t give me any additional green or yellow blocks. Although it did give me valuable information of additional two letters not being part of Today’s Wordle.

4th Word – EVERY

For my fourth attempt I used EVERY and as soon as hit enter, all the blocks turned green meaning that this was actually the correct word for Wordle 650 and that’s how I solved the Wordle Of The Day.
