My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle
1st Word – STOCK
If you solved Wordle 652 you may know that the correct word yesterday was STOCK so this became my first 5-letter word to start today’s NY Times Wordle.
And just like yesterday, although my first word gave me only one green block it proved to be quite helpful to me as it showed me the exact position of the letter O on the third spot.
2nd Word – ALONE
Given the result of the first attempt, I decided to go with a 5-letter word that starts with A and ends with E, for my second attempt. Therefore, I used ALONE. In addition to O, it came up with another green block with the letter L in it on the second spot. Additionally, ALONE also gave me a yellow block as well with the letter A in it on the first spot.
3rd Word – FLOAT
As A wasn’t in the first spot and the second and third spots were already taken, I assumed A to be in the fourth spot. Therefore, to test my theory, I used FLOAT for my third attempt.
Although I was wrong still FLOAT helped me solve the puzzle by showing me the letter F right at the beginning, in a green block. This hint was enough for me to guess the correct word.
4th Word – FLORA
For my fourth attempt, as the hints were quite clear, I shifted A to the last spot which left me with only one option, FLORA and this indeed was the correct word for Wordle 653 and that’s how I solved the Wordle of the day.
