So what do I think of Today’s Wordle?

Well, it was kind of a mixed word. I don’t think that it’s widely and frequently spoken but since it’s an adjective and the peculiar thing about many (if not all of the) adjectives is that they are made up of a noun. You just add a particular letter at the end to turn it into an adjective.

Today’s word is also made up of that and that’s the reason that even if someone has not heard it before, he won’t find it difficult to understand what this word means. I managed to nail it in 5 attempts but I used a word on the 3rd attempt that had a “Redundant” word so I think I took an attempt too many.

My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle

So you want to see how I finally solved today’s NY Times Wordle? Here’s a video representation of my thought process.

1st Word – SMASH

Using SMASH as the very first 5-letter word to start today’s NY Times Wordle was a no-brainer as it was the correct word for yesterday’s Wordle 655 – April 05, 2023.

SMASH gave me a green block right in the middle (i.e. 3rd spot ) with the letter A in it.

2nd Word – PLATE

Since now I knew the exact position of the letter A, it helped me a lot in narrowing down the list of potential candidates. So for my second attempt, I tried my luck with PLATE.

In addition to the A in a green block that I knew from the first attempt, PLATE revelated that the letters L and E are also part of the puzzle by showing them in yellow blocks at the 2nd and 5th spots respectively.

3rd Word – REALM

For my third word, I used REALM as it had A in the middle and different positions of E and A. I later realized that it wasn’t the smartest of the choices as it had M which was already ruled out in the very first attempt when I used SMASH.

Anyway, REALM gave away the exact position of E (2nd spot) while the letter L was still in the yellow block in the 4th position.

4th Word – LEAKY

Since I knew that the letter L isn’t in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions, I decided to start my fourth word with this letter. So my 4th word was LEAKY. This proved to be a great choice as it revealed the exact positions of the letters L and Y (1st and 5th spots).

Now, I only had to guess one letter in the 4th position.

5th Word – LEAFY

For my 5th attempt, as common sense suggested, I used LEAFY. As expected, this turned out to be the correct word for today’s Wordle and that’s how I solved the Wordle of the day.
