Let’s talk about the difficulty of Today’s Wordle
Well, it was a complete antithesis of yesterday’s Wordle 659 – April 09, 2023, as today’s word is quite common and simple.
Everyone understands it and is commonly and frequently used in our day-to-day conversation.
So I won’t be surprised if you’re able to solve it without any external help all by yourself. I did it in just 4 attempts and less than 5 minutes and I believe you can certainly do better than me.

My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle
1st Word – SNAFU
So what was the correct word for Wordle 659?
Yup, it was SNAFU. Hence, my very first 5-letter word to start my new adventure of today’s NY Times Wordle.
Since SNAFU has some popular letters like S and A, I was expecting it not to be a complete disaster and it didn’t disappoint me either.
SNAFU gave me a green block on the second spot with the letter N and a yellow block right at the end (5th spot) with the letter U in it.
2nd Word – UNLIT
Since I had one yellow block, as part of my normal drill, whenever I end up with a single yellow letter I normally start the second word with exactly that letter. So I tried UNLIT for my second attempt.
UNLIT revealed the exact letter on the first spot, U. Which helped me narrow down the whole bunch of lists. Now, I knew that today’s challenge started with UN which helped me a huge deal in guessing the correct word.
3rd Word – UNCLE
UNCLE, for my third attempt, wasn’t the wisest of the choices. I already ruled out the letter L in the previous attempt so using it again was in vain. However, I still went with it because my instincts were screaming that there was definitely a letter E in there somewhere.
Although I could have used man other words to find out if that’s true but still, I used UNCLE because I couldn’t think of any other word due to haste. I was literally rushing through my attempts.
Anyway, as a consolation, UNCLE did confirm my hunch as it showed me the letter E in a yellow block right at the end.
4th Word – UNDER
With the exact positions of U and N already known and the information that the letter should end up anywhere in either the 3rd or the 4th spot, it wasn’t too difficult to make the choice of word for my fourth attempt. Especially looking at all the letters that I had already used and what were still available.
Therefore, for the fourth attempt, I used UNDER and wasn’t too surprised to see all the blocks turning into sweet green color and that’s how I solved the Wordle of the day
