Today’s Wordle although not too difficult but it was certainly not an easy one. The word itself is not uncommon but I don’t believe that especially the kids use it a lot in their conversation so I’d rank it somewhat moderately difficult. Moreover, to serve as a heads-up, there’s a repeating letter so things can get a bit tricky. I myself barely managed to solve it on the final, 6th attempt.

My Own Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle
1st Word – CROWN
The very first 5-letter word with which I started my today’s NY Times Wordle adventure was CROWN. Not the best word to start off Wordle and as expected, it didn’t come back with even a single green or yellow block.
2nd Word – ALIVE
With the first attempt completely busted I went for a convenient solution and used ALIVE a 5-letter word that starts with A and ends with E. Honestly speaking, I was expecting a lot better from ALIVE. Still, it also turned out to be a disappointment when it gave me only a single yellow block with the letter E in it and that was right at the end.
3rd Word – SETUP
The first two attempts had ruled out 9 letters for me. Since I got E in a yellow block, I first decided to start my third word with it but after realizing that it was taking too long to come up with a word starting with E that does not have any of the letters already used in the last two attempts, I decided to start my third word with the letter S and typed in SETUP. This gave me the exact position of E on the second spot while also revealing the letters S and T in yellow on the first and third spots.
4th Word – BEAST
For my fourth attempt, I deliberately took a step back by using BEAST. Since it had A in it and the second attempt showed that the letter A isn’t part of the puzzle, I still used it because I was desperate to know the positions of S and T. The gamble paid off as it not only showed me the exact positions of T (at the end) but also revealed an additional letter, B in a green block on the first position. While the S was still in yellow, it was a matter of common sense to figure out that with all the other spots taken, the S would land at the third spot.
5th Word – BESIT
Given the results of the 4th attempt, I used BESIT and every block turned green except for the 4th one. However, this didn’t bother me a lot as now I had a clear idea of what the correct word was.
6th Word – BESET
Lastly, as it was quite obvious, I entered BESET as my final word and unsurprisingly, this was indeed the correct word and that’s how I solved the Wordle Of The Day.
