My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle
1st Word – THIEF
Since the correct word for yesterday’s Wordle 664 – Published on Apr 14, 2023, was THIEF, this was my very first 5-letter word to start today’s NY Times Wordle.
Unexpectedly, this word performed very poorly giving me not a single green or even a yellow block. Certainly not the start that I was looking for.
2nd Word – LOANS
Anyway, picking myself up from the debacle of the first attempt, for my second attempt, I thought of using LOANS. Since THIEF has two vowels, LOANS seemed like a good choice because it has two other vowels, O and A and I was expecting either one of them to turn into one of the colored blocks.
Moreover, the presence of the letter S in it also made me harbor high hopes for LOANS and as expected, it didn’t disappoint me.
LOANS showed me the exact position of the letter N (4th spot) in a green block and letters O and A in yellow blocks (in the 2nd and 3rd spots respectively).
3rd Word – AMONG
For my third attempt, I decided to start my word with the letter A which already showed up in a yellow block in the previous attempt.
I was spot on with my judgment as AMONG almost solved the puzzle for me. In addition to the letter N which was already in green, AMONG gave me A and O in green blocks (1st and 3rd spots) and the letter G in a yellow block.
From here, only a blunder could have made me flunk this challenge.
4th Word – AGONY
By the time I reached the 4th attempt, it was clear as a day what the correct word was. I only had to do the formality of shifting G from the last spot to the second and then add Y in the end. Hence for my fourth attempt, I used AGONY which obviously was the correct choice and that’s how I solved the Wordle of the day
Wordle 665 – AGONY – Meaning
There are multiple meanings of Agony like intense suffering, grief, pain or rage. It also means the final stages of a difficult or painful death.
