My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle

So you want to see how I finally solved today’s NY Times Wordle? Here’s a video representation of my thought process.

1st Word – KAYAK

So the first 5-letter word to start off today’s NY Times Wordle was KAYAK. Just in case you’re new, the reason I chose this word for my first attempt is that just to keep things interesting, I’ve imposed a rule on myself to start a new game with the last day’s correct word.

Since KAYAK was the correct word for yesterday’s Wordle 671 – Published on Apr 21, 2023, it naturally became my first word today.

Honestly speaking, I wasn’t too much from it, therefore, when I saw a yellow block right in the beginning with the letter K in it, I took it as a win.

2nd Word – LIKES

For my second attempt, I chose LIKES and the reason behind this choice was that this word has two vowels, I and E where E is not only a popular vowel but also the most-used letter itself. Besides, there’s another popular letter, S as well so I thought that LIKES could be a great choice for my second attempt.

In a way, LIKES did not disappoint me at all as it gave me two yellow blocks. The one was on the third spot with the letter K in it and the second was on the 4th spot with the letter E in it.

For me, this was a huge win as for some reason (call it a hunch or whatever) I felt that today’s correct word has a combination of KE for sure.

3rd Word – BROKE

Following my intuition of testing a word with the combination of KE, I first thought BRAKE but then quickly realized that the letter A has been already ruled out, therefore, I switched to BROKE and voila, this turned out to be the correct word and that’s how I solved the Wordle Of The Day.

Wordle 672 – BROKE – Meaning

BROKE as a noun means a person with no money (bankrupt). As a verb, BROKE is a past tense of breaking or shattering something.
