Let’s talk about the difficulty level of Today’s Wordle. Shall we?
Today’s word is kind of a strange one. As far as the meaning is concerned, it is indeed a difficult word. In fact, this must probably be one of those few words that are spoken quite commonly, especially in the big cities. Yet, I feel that many would find it difficult to explain its literal meaning.
I was able to crack it in 5 attempts but only after long deliberations and thinking so I can say that it was a bit difficult.
So, good luck to you guys!

Hints & Clues to Today’s NY Times Wordle 676 – April 26, 2023
Read below to check out the Hints & Clues to NY Times Today’s Wordle #676 – April 26, 2023 :
JOKER turned out to be more than decent. It gave me three yellow blocks at the 2nd, 4th and 5th spots with the letters O, E and R respectively.
2nd Word – ORATE
The second word, ORATE is not a new word for me. I’ve used it before as well and that too on my second attempt.
Anyway, ORATE, in addition to the 3 yellow blocks in the first attempt, gave me one more yellow block on the 4th spot with the letter T in it.
So by now, I’ve figured out 4 letters that were part of today’s puzzle. However, I had yet to figure out their exact positions.
3rd Word – TENOR
For my third attempt, I tried TENOR which wasn’t a good choice as I had already tried a word ending with R above. So TENOR was kind of a redundant word. However, this was a deliberate attempt as I was desperate to know the exact positions of the letters other than R. Just to move an inch closer toward the correct word.
TENOR gave me only one green block with the letter E in it (on the 2nd spot). The rest of the letters, T, O and R were still in yellow.
4th Word – RECTO
RECTO as a word for my 4th attempt was also a redundant choice as it had T on the 4th spot which has already shown up in a yellow bock when I tried ORATE on the second attempt. Again, I was more interested in figuring out the exact positions of the other letters so I didn’t mind wasting an attempt for that.
RECTO, in addition to E, gave me another green block right at the end with the letter O in it.
5th Word – METRO
By the time I reached my 5th attempt, I was quite clear about the correct word. Since 2nd and 5th spots were already taken by E and O respectively, all I had to do was to shuffle the remaining letters in the rest of the 3 blocks and keeping in view the results of the previous attempts, I was quite sure that the correct word for today was METRO and that’s how I solved the Wordle Of The Day.
Wordle 676 – METRO – Meaning
METRO as a noun is an underground railway system in large cities like New York or London. As an adjective, it is a quality of a location where people from a variety of backgrounds live.
