Starting on the hints, clues and solution to Today’s Wordle here’s what I think about its difficulty.
Well, it’s was a tough one. I have to admit. Although I solved it in 4 attempts but it took me a lots of deep pondering, scientific thinking and deliberations to finally guess the correct word.
The word itself is although not too common is also not too uncommon, however, I don’t think we use it that frequently in our day-to-day lives especially when it has a simpler alternative available.
Secondly, today’s word is a past tense of an actual word which is a bit surprising for me as I though Wordle doesn’t ask words that are the past tense or plural of any English word but I was wrong.
So this attribute adds up to its difficulty in today’s game
Good Luck!

My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle
1st Word – AGONY
What was the correct word for yesterday’s Wordle 665
It was AGONY and thereby, my very first 5-letter word to start today’s NY Times Wordle.
Although it has two vowels, one of which is quite popular, I was expecting a lot from it but when I hit the enter button, I was disappointed to see not a single green or even a yellow block.
2nd Word – IMPEL
I wanted to start the second with the letter E but I couldn’t think of any that didn’t have either A or O, therefore, for the second attempt, I resorted with IMPEL which again I thought wasn’t too bad of a choice.
IMPEL gave me two yellow blocks at the 4th and 5th spots with the letters E and L in them, respectively.
3rd Word – FIELD
When it came to the third attempt, I had a hunch that the combination of EL is going to work for me. I just need to change the position and test it out and this is exactly what I did.
I shifted EL from the 4th and 5th spots to the 3rd and 4th spots and this worked for me.
FIELD gave me two green blocks with the letters E and L in them and a yellow block with the letter D right in the end.
4th Word – DWELT
By the end of the third attempt, I had known the exact position of two letters and the confirmation of one letter D, although I wasn’t sure with its “whereabouts”.
So for my 4th attempt, I decided to start with the letter D because this was the only letter in a yellow block. So when I imagined D on the first spot and E and L on the 3rd and 4th respectively, it wasn’t too hard to figure out that the correct word for today’s challenge was DWELT.
I used this for my fourth attempt and that’s how I solved the Wordle of the day
Wordle 666 – DWELT – Meaning
DWELT is a past tense of DWELL which means to live in a certain place.
