My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle

So you want to see how I finally solved today’s NY Times Wordle? Here’s a video representation of my thought process.

1st Word – WHIFF

If you solved yesterday’s Wordle 667 – Published on Apr 17, 2023, you may know that the correct word yesterday was WHIFF thus making it my very first 5-letter word to start my today’s NY Times Wordle adventure.

With W, not being a famous letter and having a repeating letter, I wasn’t expecting too much from WHIFF and as expected, it only gave me a single yellow block on the second spot revealing that the letter H is part of today’s puzzle.

2nd Word – HOUSE

Since there was any one yellow block, as I normally do in such cases, I decided to start my second word with H. The letter showed up in a yellow block on the first attempt.

So the second word, that I tried was HOUSE and it almost solved the entire puzzle for me.

HOUSE gave me three green blocks on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd spots with the letters H, O and U respectively.

3rd Word – HOUND

Since the puzzle was almost solved for me, I had to do a blunder to flunk this one. The answer was right in front of me and therefore, I entered HOUND in the grid as my third attempt and as expected this was the correct word and that’s how I solved the Wordle Of The Day.

Wordle 668 – HOUND – Meaning

HOUND as a noun is a dog breed used for hunting (bloodhound). As a verb, HOUND means to harass, persecute, etc.
