My Step-By-Step Solution to Finding Answer to Today’s Wordle

So you want to see how I finally solved today’s NY Times Wordle? Here’s a video representation of my thought process.

1st Word – CIRCA

My first 5-letter word to kick off today’s NY Times Wordle was CIRCA.

The reason behind is too easy so you won’t get a prize for guessing it. Especially if you’re a return visitor.

For first-time visitors, it’s because of a self-imposed rule where I start off with the correct word of the previous day’s Wordle. Since Wordle 678 – Published on Apr 28, 2023, it was CIRCA, this became my today’s starting word.

CIRCA, unexpectedly, turned out to be a great opener as it gave me two yellow blocks on the 3rd and 5th spots with the letters R and A in them along with a green block right in the beginning with the letter C in it.

2nd Word – CABER

For my second attempt, I chose to try CABER as I had a hunch that today’s puzzle would end with the letter R. So I took A and R from the previous attempt which were in yellow and placed them on the second and fifth spots.

My hunch was proven correct when R showed up in green. However, I wasn’t that lucky with the letter A as it was still showing in a yellow block. However, CABER gave me an additional letter, E in yellow on the 4th spot and this solved the entire puzzle for me.

3rd Word – CEDAR

Since A wasn’t in the second position, I knew that it should be E then. So I took a swing with CEDAR for my third attempt and upon hitting enter, I wasn’t surprised to see all the blocks turning green and that’s how I solved the Wordle Of The Day.

Wordle 679 – CEDAR – Meaning

CEDAR is a noun that means a long coniferous tree belonging to a genus cedrus.
